For a Reader investigating mountaineering literature for the very first time, the sixth volume is like a guide on a difficult path. It is impossible to describe climbing without resorting to the hermetic climbing jargon. It would be equally hard to explain every technical word as it appears in the text; it would upset the flow of the narration and make the book impossible to read. That is why this volume is such a helpful reference book of terms, biographies and basic statistics. It is worth to have it at hand when perusing the first five volumes.
